Five Seasons of Magic and Counting
Plein Air sketching and painting workshop with Virginia Hein, 2024
Onward and so forth…
Willow Pond officially launched in the Fall of 2023, the business has grown and time has flown by but the sense of place has long been established. The Paquet art studio, the biodynamic grounds, and its wildlife have seen many years under their belt. The creative practice of community and lively hospitality was already second nature so it’s no wonder these past five seasons of workshops have brought such diverse offerings our way and many more to come.
The variety of workshops offered at Willow Pond ranges from bold and expressive figurative painting with David Limrite and gorgeous Plein-air sketching among the grounds led by Virginia Hein. Watercolors from the pond with Brenda Swenson. Sculpture in Fiber Arts with Carol Shaw Sutton and contemporary Mixed media with Susan Stover Art.
Workshop attendees find options to suit every art practice from beginner to advanced. Fiber paper making with Jacqueline Mallegni or Judith Kruegers natural pigment ‘Abstracts in Alchemy’. Attendees dashed to learn photo realism portrait painting from NY artist Alyssa Monks or large, confident graphic abstracts with Gordon Studer. Each Artist instructor is as dynamic as the last.
Another layer to the vision at Willow Pond is the love and nature of the professional artist community whether in practice or partnership and collaboration. The Kipaipai conference is a professional arts development not to be missed with at least two large gathering weekend retreats at Willow Pond in the past year alone.
